RUSSIAN SUNDAY: MINDBLOWING TRAILERS FOR NEW RUSSIAN EPIC MOVIES 'VIKING' WITH DANILA KOZLOVSKY AND WW2 HEROIC STORY 'PANFILOV'S TWENTY EIGHT'

EPIC 'VIKING' TRAILER
WILL LEAVE YOU STUNNED
Two exquisitely immersing Russian trailers for you today, starting with the mesmerizing trailer for new Russian epic VIKING which arrives into theatres December 2016 starring their biggest star Danila Kozlovsky as prince Vladimir and THE WOLVERINE's Svetlana Khodchenkova!
History is a symptom of our disease. From the time of heavy swords and dark laws of blood, when the pressure of great chaos gave rise to heroes. From the Dark Ages came the story that changed the world forever.
Set in the 10th century Kievan Russia it follows young VIKING prince Vladimir Novgorod  who is exiled into the snowy regions across the frozen sea after the death of his  father. One of the most expensive movies ever made in Russia took almost 5 years to be made directed by famous Russian director Andrey Kravchuk!

'PANFILOV'S TWENTY EIGHT'
WW2 HEROIC RUSSIAN DRAMA
The second one is for the World War II Russian action epic movie PANFILOV'S TWENTY EIGHT which tells the heroic story of 28 brave Russian soldiers who single handedly managed to destroy 18 Nazi tanks which were on their way to wreck havoc on Moscow in Autumn 1941! It took three years to produce this historical epic!

    1. there's noone better than them in it! Especially the WW2 and WW1 films... they have so many truly heroic stories to tell from those.

    2. I don't know any Russian WW1 movie. Russians know how do epics, but in movie industry they didn't do it since forever. Their post Soviet productions are pretty bad. Lately though seems like they are making come back.

  2. Looks like very well done movies. There's a lot of Russian history I'm not familiar with.

    1. As most other European nations they have an extremely rich history! And a heroic one too.

  3. I'd love to be able to see both these movies. Perhaps some day we'll see a sub-titled or dubbed version here in Canada? It's interesting to see the word "viking" in the cyrillic alphabet too and realize it's the same word in Russian and English.

    1. And also interesting that there were Slavic Vikings :) Our alphabet here is also cyrrilic, here's your name in it:
      ДЕБРА

    2. it is interesting, that unlike Russia where they use only cyrrilic letters, we have Latin version of our alphabet too and use it probably more frequently... especially today in the age of internet

    3. "Slavik Viking" = Варяги (Varyagi)

    1. we do love sweeping Russian epics! I also loved their fairy tale animated movies as a kid... they're totally magical and different from Hollywood.

    3. they have soul, depth and magic

    4. I agree. They do seem very magical!

    5. I think your daughter would deeply enjoy some of the magical Russian animated movies on their fairy tales, especially the ones from the first half of the last century! They literally sparkled and had so much magic, wish I could show you on YouTube but I don't think they have them there.

    6. they're graceful and elven and enchanting

    7. sure! They don't see colours after a bottle of vodka

  5. Just the opening scene of The Wolverine's was enough to haul me in. That vast frozen, wild landscape is like it's own character. It looks like it was worth the time and the money to make this.

Panfilov's Twenty Eight will be a big hit amongst the gaming community. I'm glad to see it already has subtitles in it as I want to see it. What slays me is how the West seems to forget just how tough the Russians are. That silly Obama character really thinks he can push them around. Maybe he should learn some history and give the respect they are due.

    1. Dahlink, that ain't no Wolverine, but VIKING lol the blond lass from it starred previously in WOLERINE as Viper :)

And isn't it nice watching how Putin is currently giving lessons to Obama in Syria?

    2. Bloody hell, I got the title wrong, but the trailer was memorable.

It's hysterical watching Obama think he is better than Putin. Putin doesn't piss around, he gets things done. It was so funny to see them all on their bellies to Putin at this last G20 conference. Now they need him, but he's not stupid, he knows what they really think. He doesn't need them and he knows it.

    3. He did say that with the start of Russian attacks onto ISIS the new world order begins! Which is true, because the world has seen that US knew where their hiding places were but didn't want to destroy them since they're allies

  6. The first one sounds very good to me!

    1. They say the third in the saga is like PITCH BLACK, whilst my fave was THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK, which was a sweeping space opera
